Brent & Michele are in Nicaragua, helping to open eMi’s new Latin American field office.
After climbing a corporate ladder for 18 years, and prayerfully seeking God’s guidance, Brent quit his job to pursue his passion for construction, starting a residential construction company. It was 1996, and Brent also ended up going on his first mission’s trip that year – to Nicaragua.
Over the next twenty years, his company continued to grow, expanding into Land Development. He also continued to return to Nicaragua, and later Costa Rica, where he was a part of leading missions teams for his church.
As time progressed, however, he felt that his corporate responsibilities were limiting a growing passion for foreign missions.
In 2014, Brent & Michelle sensed God was bringing them into a new season and purpose. Brent was introduced to eMi through an architect friend and after six prayerful months, Brent & Michelle applied to eMi and were accepted. This began a new chapter in their journey together with Christ. In February 2016, after “what seemed to have been a 20 year apprenticeship,” they moved to Managua to help open eMi’s new office with plans to head up the construction management program there.
