Original Project Scope
eMi Canada and eMi East Africa are partnering with the faculty of engineering at Kyambogo University to pilot an Industrial Training program where Ugandan engineering students will be mentored through a geomatics practicum carried out by a small team of eMi surveyors.

The practicum will include time on campus, learning software and equipment, as well as time on the field completing a topographic survey for an upcoming eMi project for Restoration Gateway in Karuma, Uganda.

While completing topographic surveys of outreach facilities being masterplanned by eMi, we will not only have an opportunity to enhance the technical capabilities of developing world design professionals, but also provide guidance with their standards and ethical practices, building capacity for a world of hope.
