Original Project Scope
There is a tremendous need for quality homes for orphans in this Southeast Asian country that has been closing many orphanages due to poor conditions. The eMi team will design orphanage facilities to be situated on a beautiful
27-acre peninsula, and will be a place for children who have lost both parents
and have no place to go. It is to be developed as a thriving, self-sustaining,
and healthy environment for the children to grow up strong spiritually,
educationally, and physically.
The group establishing this orphanage has been operating in the country since the late '90s. For this property they have a vision to see a total of 80-100 orphans living in a family-style environment. The project will include infrastructure development, locating and designing the cottages/homes for orphans, educational and laundry facilities, a kitchen expansion, as well as sustainable agriculture design.
