Project Scope
After the devastation of years of civil war in Sudan and the HIV/AIDS epidemic, many children have been left orphans and lack the basic necessities of life.
The goal of the Hope for Children Sudan Orphanage is to provide for these children in a loving way and to see them grow strong physically, mentally and spiritually. They hope to reintegrate well-educated and responsible community leaders back into their society and desire to provide the children with a strong Christian foundation that they can then share with others.
The orphanage and school will be situated on a 5-hectare site near the Nile River that will also include a church and a medical clinic. The design will include dormitories for 50 children and 5 staff, a classroom for 50, dining/kitchen for 50 plus staff and volunteers, a recreation/multipurpose room and toilet/shower facilities, as well as water & wastewater and electricity.
