Program Overview

An eMiC intern interacts with children in Uganda

A Life Changing Experience

An eMi internship provides multidisciplinary design experience in a faith environment. Explore God's call on your life by merging your education with your faith.

Every intern visits a developing country on a project trip. However, most of your time is spent working at your assigned office, which may be in the developed or the developing world. Interns are given varying responsibilities depending on discipline, education and experience. You will gain experience with AutoCAD and interact with design professionals from a variety of disciplines, and you will work closely with your project leader and various project volunteers to help you gain a complete understanding of the project. Interns are instrumental in completing our project work.

The focus of an internship at eMi is to grow spiritually towards a more intimate relationship with Christ alongside growing professionally as an engineer or architect. Each office takes time for prayer and Bible study and provides various opportunities for service.

Internships starting in January and August begin with an orientation week at our partner office in Colorado Springs, CO, regardless of assigned office. Orientation introduces you to the vision of eMi and provides you with an opportunity to discover who you are and how you fit into God's plan to reach the world. Summer interns travel directly to their respective offices for orientation.
