Application Process

An eMiC intern does a perc test

Should I apply?

  • Have you studied engineering or architecture?
  • Are you a recent graduate OR will you have completed at least your third year of study prior to the start of your internship?
  • Are you willing to raise your own support for this internship? (don't worry - we'll help you through the process)
  • Do you have a heart for using your design skills to build God's kingdom around the world?

If yes, you're the type of intern we're looking for! Scroll down for a detailed application process.

Most eMi projects focus on master planning, infrastructure and building design, therefore most of the interns we accept are in related fields:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Architecture

In a different field? You may still be accepted, with the understanding that much of your work may not be directly related to your discipline. You'll still come away with a valuable experience as long as you come to eMi with a servant heart and an open mind.

    1. You submit an application package by email to before the application deadline.
    2. We conduct a phone interview with select applicants so that we can get to know each other better.
    3. The eMi partner offices determine which applicants best align with the needs of each office.
    4. We initiate a follow up call to discuss final decisions and office assignments 2-3 weeks after the initial interview.
    5. After acceptance, you begin the support raising process en route to your internship with eMi!
