Construction Managers

Many of the Christian ministries that eMi serves by mobilizing professional design teams also need construction management assistance.

eMi mobilizes mobilizes professionals from the construction industry to assist Christian ministries with facility construction projects in developing countries. The majority of our current needs are in East Africa, but we may also mobilize construction managers to other regions.

Construction managers primarily serve on projects that eMi has designed, and ensure that the designs are followed and/or modified appropriately. Typical eMi Construction Management projects range from 1-2 years in length.

Prerequisites:

  • A vibrant Christian who has trusted in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and agrees with eMi's belief statement.
  • An eMi project trip volunteer (preferably for a CM Exploratory Trip).
  • Three years related experience preferred.
  • An aptitude to lead, encourage and mentor local construction workers with a servant's heart.
  • Willingness and ability to raise financial support equivalent to salary and ministry costs. All staff positions are support-based.

The eMi Construction Management Program is coordinated out of our partner office in East Africa. For more information or to obtain an interest form, please contact Jeff Austin at
